Create your own watermark to copyright your photographs

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Here are some simple steps to watermark your photographs in Adobe Photoshop

Step 1 : Open the photograph in photoshop.

Step 2 : Choose Custom Shape Tool from the the Toolbar

Step 3 : Choose Symbols by clicking the small arrow on the top right of the Shape Box.

Step 4 : Select the Copyright Symbol

Step 5 : Draw it on the photograph

Step 6 : Select the Type Tool from the Toolbar and write your name/ organizations name on the photograph.

Step 7 : Align them on the photograph for a better look.

Step 8 : Reduce the Opacity by selecting the particular layer. I am using 25% for this photograph but it can vary for different photograph. You may use Blending Options or there ways to style the watermark, but I prefer simple ones.

Done!

Now save and fell free to publish your watermarked photograph.
